Another outstanding offering from Susan Cowsill, every bit as good as if not better than 2005s Just Believe It. This album has a slightly different feel more personal. The production is a bit more sparse, though the band does real rave-ups on Barry Cowsills River Of Love and the wonderful Crescent City Sneaux. Her vocals are world-weary yet always beautiful. This song is by Susan Cowsill and appears on the album Lighthouse 2010. Far away when I was youngOutside my window straight through dawnPast the miles of rolling grassAcross the water made of glass. A beacon of lightShines all through the nightJust for me. It's always there, it guides my wayNo matter where I roamThrough dreams of pirate shipsThat take me far away from home. Out there on the seaWhere all of us will beCalling look for me, follow me. Susan Cowsill performs Lighthouse, Off-Broadway, St. Louis, MO July 1, 2010
