Help is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that served as the title song for the 1965 film and its soundtrack album. It was released as a single in July 1965, and was number one for three weeks in the United States and the United Kingdom. During an interview with Playboy in 1980, Lennon recounted: The whole Beatles thing was just beyond comprehension. I was subconsciously crying out for help. McCartney told writer Barry Miles that the song and his vocal style on it were influenced by Little Richard, I used to sing his stuff but there came a point when I wanted one of my own. The Beatles, also known as the White Album, is the ninth studio album and only double album by the English rock band the Beatles, released on 22 November 1968. Its plain white sleeve has no graphics or text other than the band's name embossed, which was intended as a direct contrast to the vivid cover artwork of the band's previous LP Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. The Beatles is recognised for its fragmentary style and diverse range of genres, including folk, British blues, ska, music hall. Help is the fifth studio album by English rock band The Beatles. It was first released on 6 August 1965 in the United Kingdom by Parlophone and on 13 August in the United States by Capitol Records. Produced by George Martin, it serves as a soundtrack to the film of the same name and contains fourteen songs in its original British release. Seven of these, including the singles Help and Ticket to Ride, appeared in the film and occupy the first side of the vinyl release the second side contained. The Beatles - Help Take 12. Unlike Help, however, Im Down was clearly more joking than earnest, with lines such as Man buys ring, woman throws it awaySame old thing happens everyday , and Were all alone and theres nobody elseYou still moan, Keep your hands to yourself Im not sure if John had any input on it, in fact I dont think he did. Im Down was my rock n roll shouter. The Beatles opened their 1965 North American tour at Shea Stadium on 15 August, performing to a crowd of 55,600 the largest audience the group ever drew. During their frenzied version of Im Down which closed the concert John Lennon played a Vox Continental organ, at times with his elbows. Help is The Beatles' fifth studio album and the soundtrack to their second feature length film. The 14-track record includes 10 Lennon-McCartney numbers, 2 from George, and 2 covers Act Naturally and Dizzy Miss Lizzy a steady improvement from the cover-padded Beatles For Sale. Starting with the title song, the album offers moments of compositional and lyrically foreshadowing into a much more sophisticated and adventurous musical territory, which the group immediately began exploring with Rubber Soul.
